Milfat Mucureezi of Ankole was crowned Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 and Prosper Auther Makay Man of Tourism International King 2026 at a grand finale at Kampala Serena Hotel under the theme “AI, Culture and Tourism”.
As winner, Mucureezi will live rent-free in a fully furnished house at Villa Vellar Estate in Bwebajja, along Entebbe Road, for the duration of her reign.
More than 36 women and eight men took part in this years edition representing 12 tourism clusters from across the country.

Mucureezi, a 20-year-old student, impressed the judges during the question-and-answer session, much of which was framed around the artificial intelligence theme. She was also named Miss Talent and has said she will use her reign to promote AI skills among young people alongside Uganda’s tourism and culture.
Kajumba Gorret Abwooli, representing Tooro, was named first runner-up and Sports Queen, while Bongonyinge Harriet of the Northern cluster finished second runner-up.
The event was attended by the Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Susan Nakawuki, along with Uganda Tourism Board and ministry officials, the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and the pageant’s partners and sponsors.

Re-launched in 2013 by the late Minister Maria Mutagamba, the competition spans multiple regional clusters across the country to select local ambassadors.
The Miss Tourism Uganda beauty pageant was founded to showcase the country’s natural beauty, diverse heritage, vibrant local cultures, and empower young women through Pageantry.
Winners act as tourism ambassadors, advocating for conservation, community sanitation drives, and road safety.
