Rajiv Ruparelia, son to Ugandan Billionaire and City Businessman Dr
Sudhir Ruparelia has perished in a grizzly accident.
The fatal road crash reportedly occured in the wee hours of this morning
along the Munyonyo-Entebbe Expressway.
Rajiv, 50, played a central role in expanding the Ruparelia Group’s footprint
across real estate, education, hospitality, and agriculture.
He had also made a name for himself in motorsport and philanthropy, often
seen as a modern face of one of Uganda’s most prominent business
empires.
About Rajiv Ruparelia life style
Ruparelia, Rajiv was born in Uganda on January,2nd,1990. He is married
to Mrs. Naiya Khagram Ruparelia and is a graduate of Financial
Management from Regents College London. Rajiv manages several family
businesses.
He is currently serving as the Managing Director of the Ruparelia Group.
He is responsible for developing sound business strategies and delivering
strong leadership across the group.
As a member on the Board of the Ruparelia Foundation, Rajiv is in charge
of the general welfare department and fervently works towards promoting
sports in the country explaining his love for playing golf and rugby. Rajiv’s
heart has always been in his country of birth where he believes he can
effect change by boosting the efforts of his compatriots whether through
charity or job creation.
In 2016, he created 300 jobs within the group alone to accommodate
unemployed Ugandans a figure so significant to be undertaken by any
other company in Uganda in a calendar year
Starting his first business:
He started his first business at 17 years while at school where he invested
in a nightclub
In 2010, Rajiv decided to join Regents University where he graduated in
2013 in financial management.
He later joined the family business in 2014. He started by being on
construction sites by managing labours and materials. Later started getting
into the design, planning, feasibility, and implementation of full
developments (hotels, schools, universities, offices, apartments, farms,
shopping malls, arcades). Once developed would then participate in setting
up of the management and putting the right team together to operate the
various business,
Finally got appointed as the managing director in 2017 of Ruparelia Group
of companies handling over 28 different businesses with an extremely
talented team.
