Africa Strategy Professionals have been urged to work in partnership with governments planners to align programmes to position Africa continent for the future.
Speaking at Africa regional International Association of Strategy Professionals Conference in Kampala, under the theme:Uncloking the Future through Collaborative and innovative Strategies ,National Planning Authority Executive Director Muvawala said there is urgent need for critical connectivity interventions between Strategy Professionals and Planners towards unlocking Africa’s development potential, such as the development and maintenance of transport networks (roads, railways, ports, and airports),expansion of energy infrastructure to ensure reliable power supply, Investment in digital infrastructure for improved internet and telecommunications access.
“In unlocking Africa Continent, we need to collaborate in prioritizing key infrastructure projects like the Trans-African Highway network and regional rail networks, leverage public-private partnerships (PPPs) for infrastructure financing and Implementing policies to streamline construction and maintenance processes,” he said.
The international Association for Strategy Professionals (IASP) is the leading global non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing the field of strategy and supporting the people who practice it.
Daniel Omara IASP Uganda Chapter President urged strategy professionals across the world to work together to build capacity of professionals in the Continent.
“We need to learn from strategy experts from Austria, United States and Africa to share insights to unlock Africa’s strategic future, leveraging technology in strategy formulation and execution, strategic foresight, and cross sector collaboration for strategic impact,”Omara emphasized.
Ms. Monica Allen, the IASP Global President said,”IASP is the global standard bearer for all things as relates to organizational transformation and strategy. We support and connect strategy professionals to engage in thought leadership, share resources, and participate in professional development opportunities,”
