Uganda’s  leading Cosmetics Manufacturer Movit Products Limited has renewed its partnership  for Bugandas Signature Enkuka cultural festival pledging a support package valued at shs 342.95 million..

The announcement was made at a press conference at Bulange Mengo between Movit Products and CBS Radio officials.

Mary Kobusingye, Movit Products Communications and Corporate Affairs Manager  confirmed the continued commitment to the media,

“We are honoured to once again stand with CBS in celebrating this year’s Enkuka,” Kobusingye said. “This year’s contribution reflects our belief in preserving heritage, elevating community celebration, and strengthening consumer engagement.”she stated.

According to Kobusingye the  shs 342.95 million support package is comprehensive, including both cash and in-kind contributions.

“These funds and items are designed to enhance the festival experience and increase community value,”she stressed.

Key components of the package include direct funding toward cultural programming and organization, co-branded materials such as reflector jackets and entertainers’ gowns, media support and community mobilization via promotion trucks. Movit will also provide prizes for festival competitions and treasure hunts, including a motorbike, televisions, refrigerators and bicycles.

This is in addition Movit  community engagement activities that include digital challenges and product sampling.

A CBS Radio representative thanked Movit, noting that their support strengthens the festival and “reinforces the bond between the festival and the wider community.”

Movit Products Limited will showcase its product lines across personal care categories during the festival. Since 1997, Movit has been one of Africa’s leading skin and hair care companies, with brands including Radiant and Skin Guard.

The commitment continues Movit’s long-standing support for cultural preservation and community engagement in Uganda.

Enkuka, organized annually by CBS Radio, is one of the nation’s largest end-of-year cultural gatherings, often attracting more than 50,000 attendees.

A multitude of people from all corners have flocked to the Mengo Palace to attend the Buganda Kingdom’s end-of-year event organized by the Kingdom radio known as ‘Enkuuka’.

The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, normally uses the event to  usher in the new year  with special message to subjects on development.

In the message delivered by Lubuga Nabaloga, Kabaka directed the youth to maintain the spirit of togetherness and hard work in 2024.

A gathering of people stormed the Mengo Palace to attend the Kingdom’s end-of-year event known as ‘Enkuuka’ and witness the Kabaka usher in the new year for them.
