“RESIST POLITICAL VIOLENCE,”SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST PRESIDENT SAMUEL KAJOBA TELLS THE PUBLIC

The President to Seventh Day Adventist Union in Uganda Samuel Kajoba has called upon the public to resist political violence during 2026 elections  to maintain peace and stability in the country.

Addressing the media in Kampala,Kajoba  said elections are  not merely political events but a test of our values as a country to our unity and commitment to peaceful coexistence.

“it has always been my appeal and it remains my appeal to all Ugandans to approach this period of elections with calmness and mutual respect .Political differences must never lead to violence ,intimidation ,hate speech or the spread of misinformation.Our diversity of opinion should strengthen democracy not divide our communities,”Kajoba stated.

He urged the youth to reject manipulation and violence and choose peaceful engagement,dialogue and responsible participation that safeguards the future of Uganda.

To those entrusted with leadership like government officials ,electoral bodies,security agencies and political leaders Kajoba appealed for integrity ,fairness and services to the common good.

“The peace and stability of our nation must always take precedence over personal or political interests,”Kajoba stressed.

Commenting the new projects for the adventist community Kajoba reaffirmed the church commitment to teaching and modeling peaceful ,promoting,dialogue,tolerance and conciliation across individuals and communities to strengthen national unity.

“As the seventh Day Adventist church in Uganda ,we reaffirm our responsibility to contribute positively to the national agenda .In 2026 the chu8urch will expand its programms that equip young people with ethical  leadership values,lifeskills and hope for productive livelihoods,recognising that a mentored and empowered youth is essential to national progress,”he emphasized.

According to  Kajoba the Adventisit population has increased by 35,310 new members across the 12 entities.The church also operates one hospiital and 22 health facitlies and 620 educational institutions hecne contributing to national development through wealth creation anf poverty alleviation initiatives at all levels.
