Dubbed Technology University of Choice, International University of East Africa (IUEA) has officially announced scholarship opportunities for bright students ahead of the August 2025 Intake across the region.

Speaking at the official launch ceremony In Kampala, IUEA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeka Akaezuwa, also unveiled scholarship opportunities specifically designed for the top-performing candidates of the UACE 2024 examinations.

He reaffirmed the university’s ongoing mission to deliver quality, innovative, and accessible education tailored to meet the needs of the modern world.

“We are thrilled to open the doors for our August 2025 Intake and even more proud to introduce scholarship opportunities for the best-performing UACE candidates,” said Prof. Akaezuwa.

“At IUEA, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers by ensuring that no talented student is left behind, regardless of their background.”he added.

According to Akaezuwa, the scholarship initiative which targets top UACE 2024 performers, is part of IUEA’s broader commitment to equity and access in education.

He stressed that these merit-based awards are designed to ease the financial burden on high-achieving students, enabling them to pursue their academic dreams in an environment that values excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

Vice-Chancellor urged prospective students to seize the moment and apply to begin their career journey.

“The August 2025 Intake is more than just a registration period but it is an open invitation to join a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic learning community that prioritizes both academic excellence and personal growth,”Akaezuwa emphasized.

Naome Kemboi, Head of Marketing at IUEA, echoed this commitment, emphasizing the university’s goal to bridge opportunity gaps for learners across the region.

“At IUEA, we believe education should be accessible, practical, and future-ready regardless of background or circumstance. These scholarships are part of our way of investing in the future  that will be shaped by the very students we support today,” she emphasized.

According to Noeme IUEA distinguishes itself as a hub of diversity, forward-thinking education, and technological integration through proving wide range of programs available both on-campus and online spanning Engineering, ICT, Business, Law, and Humanities.
