President Yoweri Museveni has hailed Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, the Prime of Uganda as a good leader of

Officiating at Thanks giving ceremony for Robinah Nabanja in Kakumiro District officially launched Kakumiro Model Training and Skilling Agricultural Innovations Farm, a facility spearheaded by the Prime Minister to promote commercial agriculture and commissioned Hotel Classic Kakumiro, a new hospitality facility poised to boost tourism and local economic development.

In his address, President Museveni reiterated his deep-rooted message on the importance of adopting commercial agriculture through the Four Acre Model, a strategy he continues to champion for households with access to small land holdings.

“You can change the situation of your lives by involving yourself in agriculture and dairy. This is what I have all along been telling you, especially those who have up to four acres of land. You can use them following the four-acre model and the rest will copy,” the President said.

He also revealed that he appointed Rt. Hon. Nabbanja because of her commitment and proper methods of work.

“The reason why some people fail is because they don’t have the correct work methods. If you don’t know how to vet your working methods, you find that even the smallest mistake, makes you fail,” he said.

“The NRA/M together with the army, we had the time to perfect both the mission and work methods and always to have collective decision making.”

The President also assured the people of Bunyoro and Uganda at large of security, saying that with the professionalism of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), no detractor can dare try to disrupt the peace in Uganda.

“There will be no war here because the UPDF is able to crush anybody who tries to bring war but also peace has brought in law and order,” he said.

On her part, Rt. Hon. Nabbanja thanked President Museveni for entrusting her with the Office of the Prime Minister, saying that when he appointed her to the position in 2021, the whole Bunyoro sub region jubilated.

“Your Excellency, I want to thank you on behalf of the people of Bunyoro for appointing me as the first ever female Prime Minister in Uganda,” she said.

“Your Excellency, I started politics in 1998 as a District Councilor. In 2001, you appointed me as Deputy RDC for Pallisa, you later elevated me to full RDC. In 2011 I was elected as MP and since then I have never looked back. And all this is because of you. Your Excellency the President, you are my hero. I can say that all that I have is because of you.”

She also expressed gratitude to President Museveni for creating Kakumiro District out of Kibaale District, an attribute that has enhanced service delivery in the area.

The Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi commended President Museveni for the development projects in Kakumiro and Bunyoro region as a whole.

He also requested the people of Bunyoro to continue supporting President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government for more development.

The event was also attended by Ministers, Members of Parliament, among other dignitaries.
