Victoria University is set to unleash a massive cohort of about 2,500 graduands at its upcoming 10th graduation ceremony themed “The Future Is High.” This landmark event marks a major milestone for the institution, replicating the large-scale success of its 9th graduation in 2025, which also saw roughly 2,500 students graduate into the workforce.

The massive influx of 2,500 new professionals’ highlights Victoria University’s scaling impact over its decade-long journey since starting operations in 2013. The two-day gathering at Speke Resort Munyonyo will see awards conferred across multiple academic tiers: Masters degree, bachelors, diplomas and certificates

University leadership, including the Board of Directors and University Council, emphasizes that this large volume of graduates is specifically trained to meet modern market demands. Corporate and Public Relations Manager Julius Bukyana noted that these 2,500 individuals are stepping into a changing workspace transformed by artificial intelligence. Through the university’s signature experiential learning and work-integrated training models, this entire cohort enters the job market equipped with practical, technology-enabled skills designed to improve employability in Uganda and abroad.

While specific chief guests and the detailed programme have not yet been released as of mid-October 2026, updates will be posted on the official website (vu.ac.ug) and social media channels.

University officials have described the massive scale of the ceremony as a turning point in their mission to reshape academic training. With 2,500 new professionals entering the market, the university emphasizes that these students are uniquely equipped compared to traditional graduates.

Julius Bukyana, the Corporate and Public Relations Manager, noted that this massive cohort has been trained specifically to handle technological shifts, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). “In the era of work-integrated learning and artificial intelligence, this year’s graduation ceremony is destined to zoom in on technological advances in education,” Bukyana stated.

The sheer volume of graduates highlights the growing footprint of Victoria University, a private institution chartered by the National Council for Higher Education and part of the Ruparelia Group. Through its core model of experiential learning and work-integrated training, the university ensures that all 2,500 graduating students leave with practical workplace experience alongside their qualifications.

While specific details regarding the chief guest and official program schedule have not yet been released as of mid-October 2026, the two-day event will continue its traditional pattern of hosting large-scale ceremonies at the Speke Resort Munyonyo.

For real-time updates on the graduation list and event streaming details, students and guests can monitor the official university website (vu.ac.ug) or its social media channels.
