Under the new theme “Transforming the Fan Experience” Vipers Football fans will celebrate Vipers Day which marks significant evolution from the club’s previous “Vipers Fans Day,” which has been celebrated for the past five years.

Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa in a media interface emphasized that this new event aims to include all stakeholders

“We are transforming from the Vipers Fans Day into a Vipers SC Day that will include all stakeholders and not just the fans. This inclusive approach underscores the club’s commitment to bringing together its diverse community, including partners, sponsors, bankers, and well-wishers, “he stated.

According to Mulindwa

activities kick off at noon feasting, entertainment and interaction.

A variety of food and entertainment options will be available, ensuring a festive atmosphere for all attendees.

There will be also opportunity for fans to register and become official supporters of Vipers SC enhancing their connection with the club.

The club will further present its squad and technical staff for the upcoming season, providing fans a first look at the team that will compete in the 2024/25 season.

The day will feature two exciting football matches,Vipers Legends vs. Fans at 3 PM and Vipers SC vs. Guest Team at 7 PM.

This match will put Vipers SC legends against their passionate fans, offering a nostalgic and engaging experience.

The highlight of the day will be a match between Vipers SC and a guest team from Africa, which will be revealed by the end of the week. This game will showcase top-tier football and celebrate the sport’s continental connections.

Ticket to Vipers Day has bern fixed at shs 10,000 encouraging widespread participation from the community.

However Mulindwa alongside Club Chairman George Mulindwa and Marketing Director Simon Ssekankya, articulated a vision of using Vipers Day not only to celebrate the club but also to foster relationships within the football community.

“We shall use the time to interact and network with sponsors and also would wish the football fraternity to show potential sponsors what they can gain by associating with the game,” Ssekankya noted.

Vipers CEO Simon Njuba highlighted the growth potential, mentioning that the club had over 100,000 registered fans by the end of the 2023/24 season. This event is seen as a catalyst to attract even more supporters and stakeholders.

In his address, Dr. Mulindwa commended the Ugandan government for creating an environment conducive to investment and wished local clubs like Villa and Kitara success in their continental competitions.

He expressed confidence in the competitive squad Vipers SC has assembled for the upcoming season, signaling a strong intent to dominate the league and elevate the standard of Ugandan football.

Vipers Day 2024 promises to be a historic event, uniting the Vipers SC community and celebrating the club’s rich heritage and ambitious future.

“All are welcome to join the celebration on Saturday, July 27, at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. It’s more than just a day; it’s the beginning of a new tradition in Ugandan football,” Dr Lawrence Mulindwa stressed.
