The anticipated Golden Jubilee will feature Congolese superstar Koffi Olomidé as a special guest.

Koffi Olomidé is primarily known in Africa for his significant contributions to Congolese rumba and soukous music, his flamboyant stage presence, and his role as a cultural icon. He’s celebrated for his unique vocal style, energetic dance moves, and ability to blend traditional Congolese rhythms with modern sounds

AFRICA KING OF NDOMBOLO KOFFI OLOMIDE

offi Olomidé is considered one of the most influential figures in Congolese and African music. He popularized the slower soukous style called “Tcha Tcho” and has consistently reinvented himself to remain relevant across different generations,

He is often referred to as the “King of Ndombolo,” a high-energy dance genre that emerged from soukous.

Koffi has achieved international recognition, filling large venues like the Olympia and Bercy in Paris. He has won numerous awards, including multiple Kora Awards and being voted Best Male Singer at the African Music Awards.

For over five decades, Afrigo has been the heartbeat of Uganda’s sound, blending tradition and innovation, heritage and showmanship.

Talent Africa Group the organisers of the event said they have partnership with Stanbic Bank Uganda is through its flagship FlexiPay  to speed up digital payments of concert tickets.

The Legends of Sound: Afrigo@50 concert promises to be a vibrant showcase of this legacy, featuring an all-star lineup of Afrigo veterans who will reimagine their timeless hits in a festival-style production.

We are also excited to welcome the legendary Koffi Olomidé as our special guest. His presence will undoubtedly elevate this event, bringing a cross-continental flair that complements the rich sounds of Afrigo.”
