The Chinese business community in Uganda is a major foreign investor, driving significant development in infrastructure, manufacturing, and trade, with over $1.3 billion in investment by late 2023. Concentrated in construction (roads/bridges) and industrial parks (e.g., Namanve, Mbale), Chinese enterprises employ thousands of local staff and operate under the  China Chamber of Commerce in uganda  to enhance economic ties, frequently supporting community project

The event, marking the Year of the Horse, drew representatives from the construction, manufacturing and transport sectors. Executives used the gathering to emphasize long-term infrastructure partnerships and new technical innovations designed to reduce operating costs for industrial partners.

Vivo Energy Uganda,Managing Director Joanita Mukasa Menya, said the Year of the Horse symbolizes resilience and speed. She said the company remains committed to serving as a stable energy partner for the Chinese business community.

“At Vivo Energy, we are proud to stand alongside our partners as a stable, long-term energy partner committed to powering your next move,” Menya said.
