Sheebah Karungi has declared a new mission to speak out against men who exploit women, especially in professional spaces, as she steps into a new chapter of her life as a mother.

Through her podcast, Sheebah says she intends to expose such behavior and empower women to recognize and reject it. She believes many men fear these conversations because they could lead to women becoming more aware and less vulnerable to manipulation.

Sexual exploitation of women in Uganda is a widespread crisis, with approximately 95% of women and girls reporting experiences of physical or sexual violence. As of 2026, the issue remains deeply entrenched due to persistent poverty, traditional gender norms, and gaps in legal enforcement

Sheebah Karungiis a highly successful Ugandan musician, dancer, and actress, recognized as one of the country’s top artists. Rising from a challenging background in Kawempe to join the Obsessions music group, she launched a successful solo career in 2010, winning multiple accolades including Artist of the Year.

She revealed that motherhood has pushed her to reflect on her past and take control of her narrative by addressing what she describes as “wrong stories” that have been written about her over the years.

Sheebah emphasized the importance of consent in all interactions involving women, stating firmly that men must seek clear permission in every situation. According to her, this is a message she is now committed to spreading widely.

The revelations came as she teased her upcoming podcast, where she plans to dive into sensitive but critical issues such as sexual harassment, particularly targeting women seeking employment.

She painted a vivid picture of how some men in positions of power allegedly take advantage of women under the guise of offering opportunities.
