RUBiS Energy Uganda has officially announced a massive nationwide expansion, fundamentally shifting the country’s downstream petroleum industry away from simple fuel transactions toward premium, multi-service retail destinations.

Following its high-profile acquisitions of Kobil and Delta Petroleum, the energy giant has unified its legacy assets to build an established grid of over 75 service stations, strategically positioning itself to meet the evolving needs of modern commuters, corporate fleets, and informal transport operators.

At the heart of this market push is the launch of 10 brand-new, cutting-edge service stations positioned along critical trade routes and high-density residential developments, including:Central & Greater Kampala: Nabbingo, Naluvule, Nakirebe, Busabala, Kulambiro, Kasangati, and Namusera.Transit & Logistics Corridors: Lyantonde, Kisoga, and the Masaka Bypass.

To combat rising operational pressures and high inflation, RUBiS has introduced its “Choose Better with UltraTec Fuel” campaign. Engineered with advanced detergent additives blended directly into both petrol and diesel, UltraTec chemically strips away carbon buildup, restores factory engine performance, lowers emissions, and significantly extends driving range.

Beyond fuel engineering, RUBiS is directly challenging traditional oil marketing models by deploying heavily integrated Non-Fuel Retail (NFR) ecosystems. The expanded network now boasts 30 operational RUBiS Enjoy Shops, 18 specialized Castrol Service Bays, and seamless distribution of RUBiS Gas for domestic cooking. In a move to support Uganda’s vital informal sector, the company has also rolled out dedicated Castrol Power 1 Boda Points—tailored, rapid oil-change zones designed to minimize downtime and lower maintenance costs for motorcycle taxi riders.

“Our growth is about much more than opening new stations,” said William Fillet, Managing Director of RUBiS Energy Uganda. “We are building a stronger RUBiS brand across Uganda while making our products, services, and customer experience better and more accessible. We are glad to now have nationwide coverage to support industries, transporters, and emerging economic hubs.”

The initiative has drawn high-level international praise. H.E. Virginie Leroy, Ambassador of France to Uganda, commended RUBiS’s forward-thinking approach to sustainable economic growth. “Through the UltraTec ‘Choose Better’ campaign and various solarization projects across its network canopies, I appreciate RUBiS Energy’s initiatives to reduce carbon emissions. RUBiS’s continued investment in Uganda is a positive demonstration of the role responsible private-sector investment can play in supporting economic activity,” Ambassador Leroy stated.

To maintain rigid compliance and premium service delivery across its rapidly growing footprint, the company has established the RUBiS Training Excellence Centre at Nabbingo, immersing network staff in rigorous health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) protocols alongside practical customer service simulations.

With advanced tech tracking through the RUBiS Card fuel management system for corporate fleets and a structural pivot toward consumer-centric spaces, RUBiS Energy Uganda is actively setting an entirely new benchmark for what Ugandan motorists should expect when they pull up to the pump.
