President Yoweri Museveni has injected shs 2billion into newly formed pastors SACCO while praising Pastor Robert Kayanja for shifting his ministry from the pulpit to large scale agriculture
The remarks were made during the closing of the seven-day Big Fix Holy Spirit Global Conference at the Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga, Kampala.
President Museveni commended Pastor Kayanja and his wife, Pastor Jessica Kayanja, for “multiplying their talents” through high-impact agricultural transformations across Uganda:
Shifting from emergency food aid to sustainable, mechanized farming via the “Plough, Plant, Produce” initiative.Operating the Gold Meadow Farm, a massive commercial venture combining livestock, maize, and banana production with local skill development and water infrastructure.
Museveni expressed strong enthusiasm for the conference’s focus on regional alignment, stating that discussions around East African political integration and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) were “music to his ears.
“Emphasizing that wealth is created by producing goods and services rather than begging, Museveni challenged believers to work for both “the stomach and the pocket.” The President highlighted historical production leaps under the NRM government, noting that coffee exports surged from 3 million to 9 million bags (targeting 20 million), while annual dairy production jumped from 200 million liters in 1986 to nearly 6 billion liters today.
Pastor Kayanja, whose conference drew Christian leaders from over a dozen countries—including the US, China, Germany, and various African nations—unveiled a massive Shs5 trillion milk project. Operating under the “Cow Bank Initiative,” the project aims to mobilize thousands of Christians into mass dairy production.
To mark the conclusion of the event, President Museveni officially launched three books authored by the ministry, including Smile Karamoja: From Hunger to Hope and Harvest.
