MUHIKA JUNIOR SCHOOL SHINES WITH 85% SUCCESS IN PLE

Started in 2022 after Covid Pandemic Muhika Junior School is redefining modern learning in Kiira Municipality and Uganda at large.

In the just released Primary Leaving Examination, Muhika Junior School emerged the 3rd best performing school in Kiira Municipality registering an  impressive performance in Primary Leaving Examination with 85% success rate and also emerged  number 235 out of 1000 schools country wide that sat Primary Leaving Examination in 2025.

Out of the 15 students that sat PLE candidates,12 attained first grade and three achieved second grade. 

Leading the cohort were Kirabo Devine Elianah and Nyanzi Solomon,Birumuye  each scoring an outstanding aggregate of six.

Speaking at the thanksgiving ceremony on Sunday,Muhika Junior School Director Edward Muhigirwa expressed pride in the milestone  so far achieved attributing it to the strong foundation laid at the school inception

“ At Muhika Junior School,we believe that students should receive a holisitc education where they explore their abilities across various disciplines.This performance demonstrates how well equipped our candidates have been trained ,”he said.

MISS LITTLE UGANDA WITH HER MOTHER

“At Muhika Junior School, learning goes beyond the blackboard. With a skilling centre and a talent-nurturing program, the school trains students in tailoring, baking, liquid soap making, cooking, etc.Talents like swimming, art, music and all other sports are nurtured from the very beginning. 

We are preparing our students to become responsible, talented, and job-creating citizens in the future,”he added.

Deo Sekakoru Head teacher says the school offers both Uganda national curriculum and international Cambridge curriculum providing students with abroad and competitive academic experience  with total enrolment of 343 students

Charity Nayebare Head Preschool emphasized the importance of talent development saying the school is committed  to nurturing well rounded learners  beyond academics  citing Five year old Bridget Nsimire Mugabe who  recently  crowned the overall winner of the 2025 Little Miss Uganda Contest on December 22 2025.

“At Muhika  Junior school we encourage students to explore their talents and passions so they can thrive in this evolving world,” she stated

According to her Bridget is an inspiration to her peers and represents the path management intend to to  develop not only future leaders but deceivers ,”she stated.

In addition the school Ballet Team recently emerged runners up at the voyage Muah Ballet Competition held at st Andrew Bukoto further highlighting Muhika school strength in co curricular excellence .

Looking ahead the the school management plans to open soccer academy and procuring smart boards for class rooms to enhance modern learning
