Artist Joshua Baraka has Brand Ambassador for Johnnie Walker’s new Keep Walking campaign.
Baraka’s appointment will see him carry the campaign message beyond brand-sponsored roadshow travelling across the country. The tour is due to culminate in a concert by the singer in Kampala.
Christine Kyokunda, Brand Manager for Johnnie Walker Uganda, said the campaign was intended to celebrate the process behind personal achievement rather than the milestones alone.
“The real story is everything that happens along the way — the decisions, the risks, the resilience and the courage to keep going even when the path is not always clear,” she said. She said Baraka’s career reflected that spirit and that the brand hoped to spotlight other Ugandans on their own journeys.
Baraka said the recognition marked another stage in an evolving career. “There are so many moments that people do not see — the work, the uncertainty, the decisions, and the small wins that eventually become something bigger,” he said. “That is what Keep Walking means to me. It is about trusting the journey and continuing to take that next step.”
Johnnie Walker says the campaign will extend beyond music to feature entrepreneurs, innovators and other cultural figures, framed around what it calls a “One Step Closer” narrative.
The company describes the Uganda launch as an invitation to recognise the journey behind personal ambition.
