The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced new dates for the nomination of candidates for Parliamentary Elections, including Special Interest Groups (SIGs), pushing the exercise from October 15–16, 2025 to October 22–23, 2025. The change, according to the Commission, was necessitated by Uganda’s role as host of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Mid-term Review Conference, which falls on the original nomination dates.
