Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has extended this year’s City Festival from October 5th to October 12th, 2025. The festival, initially scheduled as a pre-Independence Day celebration, will now take place days later, allowing the city to host the official national Independence Day events. “The festival will now take place on October 12 after the official Independence Day celebrations. Uganda and the Russian Federation are set to hold their Third Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation next week, a meeting intended to boost bilateral relations and finalize pending agreements. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has pledged a major health sector boost for Apac District, promising new facilities, upgrades, and vital equipment as part of his government’s next term agenda.
