Uganda Bureau of Statistics has deployed 1,100 field data collectors to complete data collection exercise for the Baseline Education Census 2025. The “Uganda baseline census 2025” refers to a nationwide Baseline Education Census launched by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) and the Ministry of Education and Sports to collect data on all formal schools, learners, and staff. The Deputy Spokesperson of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Waiswa Mufumbiro, has been charged with inciting supporters of his party to commit murder against security personnel. Appearing before Nakawa Grade One Magistrate Frank Nahamya, Mufumbiro pleaded not guilty and was subsequently remanded to Luzira Prison until November 4, 2025.
