The State House medical team is carrying out a major health outreach at Kasensero Landing Site Stationed at Muyomba Gardens, Kyotera District. The State House health camp is reaching out to hundreds of residents from both the mainland and Kasensero Island. The camp, which started yesterday, is scheduled to run until December 12, 2025. President Yoweri Museveni has directed Local Government Minister Raphael Magyezi to urgently address concerns regarding the distribution and management of Parish Development Model (PDM) funds in Kyenjojo District. President Yoweri Museveni has announced that Kamwenge District will host a UPDF barracks as part of government efforts to strengthen security in an area that once faced prolonged instability due to incursions by Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels. The Electoral Commission has declared Jacqueline Mbabazi unopposed for the position of Member of Parliament representing Older Persons in the Western Region. The declaration came after a petition filed by Jackson Tuhayire, a voter from Rwampara District, who challenged the nomination of candidate Patrick Kyamukate Mutabwire. Tuhayire argued that Mutabwire had failed to raise the minimum number of supporters required for valid nomination, a claim the Electoral Commission later upheld.
