Kansai Plascon Uganda has officially launched the 15th edition of its flagship “Paint and Win” promotion, reinforcing its dominant position as the country’s leading paint manufacturer with a commanding 70% market share in the Ugandan paint industry. Backed by strong growth momentum—including a recent record-breaking milestone of 6 million litres in sales—the company is investing over UGX 2.2 billion into this year’s campaign to reward customer loyalty and drive community development.

Kansai Plascon Uganda Head of Marketing Daniel Kayongo highlighted the following key details about the campaign:
“The campaign themed “Koodi”—inspired by the familiar sound of a knock at the door—the highly anticipated campaign runs from 1 October to 12 December 2026. The initiative aims to celebrate the customer and dealer relationships that have propelled the brand’s continuous growth.

According to Kayongo atotal investment of over UGX 2.2 billion  covers promotional rewards and community paint donation initiatives.

Customers stand a chance to win cash, motorbikes, tuk-tuks, and instant airtime.  during the campaign period In addition to rewarding consumers, the campaign extends its reach into local communities through corporate social responsibility paint donations. 

 

Kansai Plascon Managing Director Santoch said t participate, customers must purchase Plascon paint worth UGX 200,000 or more from an authorized dealer.

” Every valid entry received by SMS (sending the unique scratch card code to 7197) automatically wins airtime worth UGX 1,000, UGX 2,000, or UGX 5,000.Daily Draws: One customer will win UGX 1 million cash every day from Monday to Saturday.,”he stated.

Meanwhile weekly Game Show: The six daily winners will advance to a weekly televised showdown. Five contestants will take home additional cash prizes ranging from UGX 200,000 to UGX 1 million. The sixth contestant will win a fully registered motorbike complete with a helmet and UGX 100,000 worth of fuel.

Grand Prizes: Two fully registered tuk-tuks (equipped with a helmet and UGX 100,000 in fuel) will be awarded—one at the halfway mark and another at the conclusion of the 10-week campaign.

Regional Activations: Awareness drives will head to Mbarara, Gulu, Lira, Mbale, and Jinja, where one lucky participant in each town will win a fully registered motorbike package.

As part of its commitment to giving back, Kansai Plascon Paint Uganda will donate paint to several community institutions throughout the campaign period:

October: Nsengwe Community Church (Mubende), Luzira Women’s Prison, Kisazi Primary School (Lubwama), Sooko Catholic Parish Church (Kisoro), and Shruti Swaminarayan Gurukul School (Jinja).

Last year, a painter named Hussein Salim Okiror from Mbale won Home make over grand prize during a milestone anniversary season. He testified that while working on various sites, his clients willingly let him keep the scratch cards from the paint tins.

Okiror noted that while people around him were highly skeptical about anyone actually winning the grand prizes, the instant rewards built his trust: “No one believed that I would win. Yet, the fact that you scratch these cards and even get some instant airtime helps carry on with the business”.

Boda Boda Winners: Peter Lubwama, a painter from Naluvule in Wakiso District, shared a similar sentiment after winning a brand-new motorbike, stating it gave him independent commercial transport to get to distant job sites quickly.
