The National Information Technology Authority (NITA-U) has launched a major digital initiative aimed at transforming the way government services are delivered across Uganda. Working in partnership with technology firm AlphaX, NITA-U is developing UGOV, a unified digital ecosystem that will bring all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) onto a single, easy-to-use platform. President Yoweri Museveni has urged National Resistance Movement (NRM) Village leaders to intensify mobilisation across all sectors of society as the party launches its village-level campaigns ahead of the 2026 elections.
