Kanungu best Business Mogul James Garuga Musinguzi, has passed away after long battle with throat cancer.
He was widely respected both in Uganda’s political and business circles and played a pivotal role in acquiring the party’s national headquarters in Najjanankumbi.
Garuga, who hails from Kanungu District, owns the biggest Tea estate in Southwestern Uganda and highly celebrated for his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership.
His business empire ranges from agriculture, real estate, and transport.

Garuga championed numerous philanthropic projects in education, health, and economic empowerment across his home region, impacting thousands of lives in South western region of the country.
“His passing is a huge loss—not just to the FDC party, but to the nation,” FDC President Nandala Mafabi said.
“He believed in building institutions, in empowering people, and he invested his own resources to make it happen.”he stated in a comment
