Kakuuto County Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Lutaaya, has graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from the Islamic University in Uganda.
Lutaaya most a celebrated Kadongo Kamu musicians, joined other graduates during the university’s graduation ceremony, drawing applause from fellow students, lecturers and supporters who hailed his commitment to education despite a demanding schedule in Parliament.
Lutaaya said the qualification will strengthen his capacity to serve his constituents more effectively, noting that leadership requires continuous learning.

“Education sharpens leadership. As a public servant, I believe improving my academic grounding helps me understand governance better and deliver meaningful change to the people I represent,” Lutaaya stated.
His graduation has been widely praised as a testament to lifelong learning and discipline.
IUIU officials commended graduates for investing in education and urged them to apply their knowledge to national development. Lutaaya’s achievement, they noted, reflects the university’s growing role in training leaders for public service.
Constituents in Kakuuto County described the MP’s academic success as inspiring, especially to young people who look up to him both as an artist and a leader.
Lutaaya Geofrey is a prominent Ugandan musician, businessman, and politician, known for co-founding the popular band De Nu Eagles with his wife Irene Namatovu, and currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Kakuuto County, Kyotera District, under the National Unity Platform (NUP) party. He recently achieved another milestone, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from the Islamic University in Uganda, blending his diverse career in music, business, and public service
