Busoga King Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope has called on parents  to protect their  children  during the long christmas holiday against many forms of  risks.

In his Christmas message to Ugandans, the Kyabazinga emphasized the responsibility of families to remain vigilant as communities gather to celebrate.

He reminded parents that while Christmas is a time of happiness and excitement, children require extra care and protection during the holidays.

He also reflected on the meaning of Christmas, encouraging Ugandans to draw inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ by embracing love, peace, forgiveness and mutual respect.

According to Kyabazinga, these values are essential in strengthening families and fostering harmony within communities.

Describing Christmas as a season of generosity and togetherness, he urged citizens to look out for one another and to celebrate in ways that promote unity and compassion.

He also wished all Ugandans a joyful Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year, calling on families to uphold safety, care and responsibility throughout the festivities.

Christmas is a major Christian holiday on December 25th celebrating Jesus Christ’s birth, marked by traditions like decorating trees, exchanging gifts, feasting, and caroling, blending religious significance (love, hope) with cultural festivities (Santa Claus, secular gatherings) enjoyed by many worldwide as a central part of the winter season
