Uganda’s leading company,Inspire Africa is set to unveil Haraka Coffee brand in the market place in December.
According to Chief Executive Officer Nelson Tugume this will transform Uganda’s coffee sector from a raw commodity exporter to a global producer of value-added coffee products.
Currently Inspire Africa Coffee is developing the “Africa Coffee Park” facility in Ntungamo, which will process coffee from regions like Ankole, Kigezi, and Rwenzori into various products like instant and drip coffee. Inspire Africa also operates a separate coffee shop in Kampala and another in Gulu, offering traditional coffee beverages and a dining experience

According to Dr. Nelson Tugume,Inspire Africa’s ambitions stretch beyond exporting raw beans.
“Once Our Coffee Park is fully operational, the Coffee Park will produce roasted coffee, instant coffee, drip coffee, coffee-based energy drinks, and even coffee-derived beauty products, moving Uganda into higher-value markets,”Tugume stated.
“This value-addition strategy aims to shift Uganda from raw-bean exports, which fetch low prices internationally, to branded, finished products commanding premium prices. For farmers, this translates into better incomes, stable contracts, and access to global markets,”he added.
Inspire Africa is also blending coffee with culture and lifestyle. The company recently partnered with fashion designer Santa Anzo’s ARAPAPA brand, showcasing Ugandan coffee at the UNAA Convention 2025 in the United States — reinforcing the idea of coffee as both a product and a cultural experience.

Inspire Africa is actively engaging distributors, investors, and specialty coffee enthusiasts and exploring partnerships to expand Uganda’s coffee footprint in Asia.
For local farmers, Inspire Africa’s efforts go beyond exports. The company provides training, agronomic support, and access to higher-value markets turning coffee farming into a more sustainable and profitable venture.
“By linking quality, branding, culture, and value-addition, we’re not just exporting coffee; we’re transforming communities, creating jobs, and telling Uganda’s story to the world,” Dr. Tugume explained.

With Inspire Africa leading the charge, Ugandan coffee is steadily brewing its way into the hearts of international consumers — transforming from a commodity into a premium, globally recognized brand, and elevating the livelihoods of the farmers behind every cup.
