HR MANAGERS ASKED TO EMBRACE AGILITY IN RECRUITMENT

The President of the Human Resource Managers’ Association of Uganda (HRMAU) has challenged Human Resource Managers to embrace agility to manage the ever-changing world of work.

Officiating at the Annual HR Conference 2025 under the theme:HR as an enabler: Leading Change, Unlocking Potential, Sustaining Growth”. Bbbosa Called for mindset shift and building of workplaces that go beyond discipline and focus on coaching, mediation, and growth.

“I wish to call upon thought leaders to collaborate and bridge HR industry and create interconnected systems for sustainable HR excellence,”he stated.

HRMAU (Human Resource ManagersAssociation of Uganda) is the leading professional body dedicated to developing and serving HR professionals across Uganda.

Meanwhile Grace Nzula, CEO, Atarah Solutions called upon HR Managers to scale up Human resource practices in the changing world of work.

“We must shift from following rules to responding to a changing world with intention and adaptability,” Nzula stressed.

Xenia Wachira, Chief Executive Officer at Brighter Monday Uganda advised fellow HR practitioners to embrace agility as the ability to continuously learn, adapt, and reinvent HR practices saying it bridges organizational performance and work models.

‘’As HR leaders, we must model calmness and adaptability under pressure. COVID-19 laid bare the fragility of our systems—but it also highlighted our capacity to adapt, innovate, and endure. It was a defining moment for HR and leadership across all sectors’’, said Paul Rugambwa Head of Human Resources, at Infectious Disease Institute.

Joanita Mukasa asked HR managers to understand their employees so us to support them responsibly.

“Know your employees. Understand the vision and what you need to bring it to life. HR are coaches and strategy catalysts”, she noted adding that people are the most important assets of a business next to the brand,”she noted Joanita.
