HOUSING FINANCE,C-CARE  EXTENDS HEALTH CARE TO KATANGA

 As part of the bank’s Customer Service Month activities,Housing Finance Bank and C-Care have partnered to extend health care to communities at St. Peter’s Church of Uganda in Katanga and Wandegeya.

The event provided essential health services and wellness advice to the community, attracting more than I,000 participants. The services aimed to promote preventive healthcare by offering screenings, testing and vaccinations in an easily accessible location.

Attendees received free screening and testing for common illnesses, including malaria, HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and prostate-specific antigen. In recognition of World Polio Day on Oct. 24, the camp also provided Polio vaccinations to support ongoing eradication efforts.

Beyond diagnostics, qualified medical professionals offered personalized consultations and counseling on nutrition, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Peace Ayebazibwe, the Executive Director at Housing Finance Bank, underscored the initiative’s significance, stating the bank’s role extends beyond financial services.

“By holding this health camp, we are celebrating our customers while contributing to the well-being of the communities we serve,” Ayebazibwe said. “This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering sustainability for all and aligns with the Global Sustainable Development Goal 3, which emphasizes good health and well-being as a foundation for progress.”

Prudence Asobola, Manager at C-Care Uganda, emphasized the importance of health education and community participation.

“Together with partners like Housing Finance Bank, we are making vital healthcare accessible to those who need it most,” Asobola said.

The collaboration highlights the bank’s commitment to holistic customer care, recognizing that financial security and personal well-being are interconnected pillars of sustainable community development.
