Business vision

Under his Chairmanship at Fortunate Group that houses Uganda Aviation Academy,
Voice of Teso, Healing Way Hospital he has ventured into agriculture sector and soon
will Asante Dairy.


Asante Dairy is a milk processing plant owned by Asante Agro Ltd. The plant is located
in Soroti City, Eastern Uganda and has an initial installed production capacity of 60,000
liters of milk per day, with plans for expansion. The business aims to collect, process,
and package fresh milk into various quality dairy products as it sources its raw milk from
local farmers and cooperatives across northern and eastern Uganda, as well as its own
nucleus farm of 20-25 dairy cows.


The goal of the business is to make Uganda a milk-sufficient nation by activating the
northern and eastern milk production corridors, creating employment opportunities for
women and local farmers while promoting the growth of the dairy industry in Uganda. To
be the market leader of affordable, high-quality milk & milk products to various
customers, recognized for our commitment to producing safe, nutritious dairy products
while also contributing to the economic and social development of the regions.


“Our state-of-the-art plant is fully automated. The automation system is designed by the
best in the world from the USA, Italy and Ireland. Relentless R&D enables us to
upgrade our products constantly and stringent quality control ensures that only products
meeting the most exacting standards reach out to the discerning customers.,”Mukula
explained.


Asante Dairy will offer a range of dairy products, including Fresh milk, Pasteurized UHT
milk, Yoghurt, Bongo, Ice cream, Cheese, Ghee, Butter and Flavoured milk. The plant
will have the capacity to process up to 40,000 litres of milk per day with plans for
expansion in the future.
