VICTORIA UNIVERSITY UNVEILS 8TH GUILD TEAM

Under the slogan Authentic University of Choice, Victoria University held its 8th Guild team as Khaukha Emmanuel, a third-year Bachelor of Pharmacy student, was officially inaugurated as the Guild President for the 2025/2026 term.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the university’s main auditorium, showcased the institution’s commitment to student leadership, innovation, and service.

The event also offered a heartfelt farewell to the 7th Guild Government, whose term was praised for its dedication and leadership that left an indelible mark on the student body.

“We extend our congratulations to the 7th Guild Government for a term well served,” said the university in an official statement released via X, formerly Twitter. “Your leadership and commitment to student welfare have positively shaped our community, and your impact will be felt for years to come.”

The Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Augustine Osamor Ifelebuegu, who represented the Vice Chancellor, officiated the ceremony and hailed the student governance as key and integral to Victoria University’s achievements.

City Pastor Wilson Bugembe of Nansana Worship House graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and was appreciated not only for a show of solidarity but also for being a source of encouragement for the new leadership.

Victoria University stands tall and proud as the premier modern university in the region, thanks to our relentless focus on providing practical and hands-on learning experiences.

Prof. Augustine Osamor said.

VUU was established in 2011 by Edulink Holdings Limited, a private company that invests internationally in tertiary institutions of higher education. From 2011 until late 2012, VUU was affiliated with the University of Buckingham (UB) in the United Kingdom, which awarded the majority of degrees offered at VUU.
