The Public Relations Association of Uganda has honored Veteran PR Guru Sarah Kagingo with Life time Achevement Award at the ninth PRAU Excellence Awards in Kampala.
Sarah Kagingo received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her long-term service and significant contributions to public relations in Uganda.
Held under the theme “Recognizing Innovation and Impact in Public Relations,” the event gathered communication professionals, corporate leaders, government officials and media practitioners.

PRAU President Irene Nakasiita said the awards were established to honor exceptional work and give organizations a platform to showcase their strategic communication concepts.
“In this year’s edition of the PRAU Excellence Awards, we are not just celebrating winners, but innovators who have redefined what is possible in our profession through creative concepts that continue to prove that strategic communication is a powerful driver of trust, progress, and transformation,” Nakasiita said.
- Serene Beauty won the Best Overall PR Campaign award and the Best Social/Digital Communication Campaign award.
- Danniella Makiika, Uganda Martyrs University took home won Young Communicator of the Year

- Ugsnda Electricity Distribution Company Limited took Best Media Relations and Media Management Campaign Award.
- Best Event/Experiential Campaign went to MultiChoice Uganda.
- Best Internal Communication Campaign went to Uganda Baati Limited/MAAD McCANN
- Equity Bank Uganda Limited/Capital One Group won the Best Crisis Communication Award
- NCBA Bank took home the Best CSR and ESG Campaign:
- Best Public Affairs Campaign: UEDCL
- Best Corporate Communication Campaign: DFCU Bank/Capital One Group
- Best Not-for-Profit Campaign: Sauti Plus/Reach a Hand Uganda
- Best PR Agency: Node Group
Solly Mollo, the South African High Commissioner to Uganda, congratulated the winners and urged PRAU to explore collaboration opportunities with the South African commission to promote the visibility of both countries through public relations.
Established in 1976, PRAU is the representative body for PR professionals, communication specialists, brand managers, and students in related fields across Uganda
