This initiative aligns with President Museveni’s vision of enhancing value addition by exporting processed agricultural products, improving market access by linking farmers and exporters with premium European buyers, and boosting coffee value addition. It also aims to facilitate technology transfer and modern farming techniques to increase quality and productivity.

Ambassador Abbey Walusimbi, Senior Diaspora Affairs Advisor to the President, has revealed that tomorrow, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Uganda delegation’s journey to Madrid will be officially flagged off at President’s Office (Conference Hall), Kampala, with participation from government officials, exporters, farmer associations, and international partners. Together, they will plan how to best represent Uganda patriotically and effectively during the expo.

Through this inaugural participation, Uganda aims to strengthen its global agricultural market presence, attract investors, and broaden opportunities for its fresh fruits, vegetables, and coffee sector.
