HARUNA KASOLO  MEETS  BUGANDA  PRIME MINISTER TO SEEK POLITICAL BLESSINGS

As elections gear up politicians across the country are doing everything possible to entice voters to seek political support.

Today State Minister for microfinance, Minister Haruna Kasolo, who is vying for position of National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairperson for Buganda with Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga at Bulange Mengo to mend relations, and seek cultural blessing in his political career.

During the meeting, Kasolo expressed his commitment to serve the people of Buganda and Uganda at large,

He reaffirmed his respect for the Buganda Kingdom and its leadership.

“My visit to the Katikkiro is part of my broader consultations. As I continue this journey, I believe in seeking guidance and blessings from cultural leaders who hold the trust of our people,” Kasolo said.

The Katikkiro welcomed Kasolo’s gesture, praising him for showing humility and recognizing the importance of cultural institutions, even while pursuing a political path.

“It’s important for all political candidates to seek support in a peaceful, respectful manner. We encourage leaders to promote unity, avoid confrontations, and respect diverse opinions,” Katikkiro Mayiga said.

Mayiga thanked Kasolo for actively participating in Buganda Kingdom’s programs and reiterated the importance of working with leaders who understand and support the Kabaka’s vision for Buganda.

“Minister Kasolo has demonstrated a clear understanding of the Kabaka’s priorities and a willingness to contribute to the Kingdom’s development, especially in the areas outlined in the Five Key Priorities,” Mayiga stated.

His continued engagement with cultural leaders is seen as a strategic move to strengthen his ties with grassroots communities across Buganda.
