ALGERIA BEATS UGANDA 3-0

Despite President Yoweri Museveni pledge of sh 1,2billion to Uganda Cranes as motivation to perform well in the CHAN   and investment of $30million in revamping sports infrastructure, Uganda Cranes  failed to present perfect show at the African Championship games leaving football fans disappointed as Algeria walloped Uganda Cranes 3-0 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Although hundreds of fans filled the Nambole stadium to cheer up the home team there was no good show Algeria’s captain and defender, Ayoub Ghezala, broke the deadlock with a header from a corner kick.

After the break the Cranes returned with renewed energy and several attempts still Algeria held firm defense.

UGANDA CRANES LOVER BEFORE UGANDA/ALGERIA MATCH

Algeria regained control and doubled their lead through Abderrahmane Meziane Bentahar in the 76th minute, followed quickly by a third from Soufiane Bayazid in the 79th minute to beat Uganda 3-0

Frustrated Uganda Cranes will now shift focus to their second group match against Guinea on Friday.

Dan Muliika blames government for the loss saying government did not prepare the team enough in anticipation of the game.

“Let us first agree on one thing, Uganda Cranes a team is different from CHAN and AFCON the event(s). what they have done is like investing resources in the wedding ceremonies and forget the mugole,”he stated.

“Well the event might be superb,  naye the mugole 3:0,”he added.

Building a team is not a one day off event the way our speaker pulled out 20k dollars hours to the game but ask her what parliament has done to protect the public play grounds from being given to developers. Or does she even understand the role of public and schools play ground in developing talents? Just Google and see what Algeria has done in the last 30 years to build a nation team and develop football.
