CASHLESS NUP PARTY LAUNCHES FUNDRAISING DRIVE TO COLLECT SHS 10 BILLION FOR ELECTIONS

National Unity Platform (NUP) party has launched a public fundraising drive aimed to mobilize resources for the party’s participation in the 2026 general elections.

“We have launched a global fundraising drive to raise money and other material resources necessary to take us through the forthcoming general elections. We have constituted a committee led by Hon. Balimwezo Ronald Nsubuga to oversee this exercise. Other members of the Committee include Hon. Kaaya Christine Nakimwero and Ms. Fatuma Kassim,” Kyagulanyi stressed

He revealed that NUp party targets to collect shs 10billion for roll out their political campaign.

According to Kyagulanyi Donors are expected to contribute via designated mobile money numbers and bank accounts, while those wishing to deliver physical contributions to the NUP headquarters in Kamwokya will be received by the organizing committee.

Meanwhile supporters contributing shs 100,000 and above will receive certificates ranging from One Star to Five Star, depending on their level of commitment.

“This fundraising is not just about money. It is about ownership of our struggle. We are giving Ugandans a chance to say, ‘I contributed to the change I want to see,” Kyagulanyi stressed.

The fundraising campaign comes as political parties begin mobilizing resources for the 2026 election cycle. NUP insiders say the funds will be used for candidate nomination fees, campaign logistics, training, legal aid, and voter protection efforts.
