KYABAZINGA,VICTORIA UNIVERSITY INK PARTNERSHIP

The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Majesty William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV, has pledged support for a transformative partnership with Victoria University aimed at extending tech-driven learning education in the region.

The commitment reached a special meeting between the Kyabazinga and Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Lawrence Muganga, at the Igenge Palace in Jinja.

Dr. Muganga hailed His Majesty’s dedication to educational advancement and community development.

“His Majesty stands among the world’s most visionary and educated leaders. I greatly admire his firm commitment to the progress and welfare of the people of Busoga,” the VC said.

The University’s Marketing and Student Recruitment Manager, Conan Businge commended the Kingdom’s zeal to champion education success in Busoga, describing Victoria University as the best-fit institution to deliver that vision.

“The Kingdom’s approach to a new phase in educating its people, and bringing Victoria University to the Royal table, is a sign that the footprint the institution has made is a deserved chest-thump,” he said.

the University’s Director of Cooperative Education, Dr. Shamim K. Matovu, briefed His Majesty Gabula Nadiope IV on Victoria University’s work placement and industry expert mentorship programs, which she said have redefined Uganda’s learning culture and erased outdated education traditions.

The Kyabazinga commended Victoria University for its steadfast growth over the past years and its commitment to making higher education accessible, innovative, and inclusive.

VC Muganga emphasized that Victoria University was eager to work closely with the Busoga Kingdom to ensure no learner is left behind and that young people can access opportunities that transform their lives and communities.

“By working together, I am confident we will unlock new opportunities, empower countless young minds, and build a brighter, more inclusive future for generations of Ugandans in Busoga and beyond,” Dr. Muganga added.

He said Kyabazinga’s engagement with Victoria University affirms growing efforts by the institution to leverage technology and partnerships to bridge educational gaps in eastern Uganda.
