NRM ENTREPRENEURS SACCO LAUNCHED

Uganda’s leading political party National Resistance Movement (NRM) has unveiled NRM Entrepreneurs League SACCO.

The SACCO is expected to create a formal financial support mechanism for thousands of NRM-affiliated entrepreneurs and traders across Uganda, in line with the government’s ongoing wealth creation and socio-economic transformation efforts.

Officiating at the launch of NRM Entreprenuers League Sacco ,the Coordinator of the Office of the National Chairman Hadijah Namyalo said siad the sacco will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)across the country.

Hajjat Namyalo emphasized that the initiative reflects President Museveni’s long-standing commitment to inclusive economic transformation, urging Ugandans to support structured systems rather than rely on handouts.

“This SACCO is not politics—it is about survival, growth, and dignity for entrepreneurs,” Namyalo said.

Namyalo thanked KACITA Chairman Tadeus Musoke for the concept paper and lobbying President Museveni to endorse the sacco.She also hailed Hon. Phillip Kakuru, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Trade, for offering shs 100 million as start-up capital for the SACCO.

Kakuru, who is also vying to chair the NRM Entrepreneurs League at the Central Executive Committee (CEC), said the SACCO will ease access to credit, promote savings, and fund collective business ventures aligned with the NRM’s wealth creation strategy. He also announced that SACCO offices will be rolled out nationally, with the first one opening in Bugolobi, Kampala.

Namyalo called on all entrepreneurs to shun corrupt politicians who only appear during campaigns with bribes and handouts.

“Stop voting for those who buy your vote with petty cash. The real leaders are building systems like this SACCO to help your business grow. Museveni is the only leader with a plan and a track record,” she emphasized.

National Resistance Movement was founded as a Liberation Movement that waged a successful protracted people’s struggle that liberated Uganda from fascist and dictatorial regimes. The National Resistance Movement restored political stability, respect for human rights, national unity, peace, security, law and order, Constitutionalism and the rule of law;

NRM launched and executed a minimum economic recovery programme through rehabilitation and development of socio-economic infrastructure, reduction and control of inflation, promotion of local and foreign investment, promotion of private sector led growth and export oriented production;

The National Resistance Movement introduced democracy and enfranchised the people of Uganda through restoration of the vote in regular, free and fair elections;empowered previously marginalized sections of our society, namely women, youth, elders, people with disabilities and workers to play their rightful role in management of public affairs.
